I will probably specialize in driving tours for road trips. I would like the ability to import locations. My process is step one pick stops then design the best route, add direction locations, and then scripting.

I can import my locations and my route with a kml into google maps/earth but cannot import into voicemap.

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately you won’t be able to upload specific locations (red pins) to the tour but you are able to find your landmark by using the “Search” function or by adding the coordinates manually, below the search bar.

You can get the coordinates of a location on Google Maps by right-clicking on your pin/location and clicking the coordinates at the top. This will copy it to your clipboard. You can then paste that into the latitude and longitude blocks in Mapmaker™, then click “Add”.

We do support importing a KML file. You can follow these steps to upload a KML file into your tour:

  • Find your tour and go to “Edit Tour” to open Mapmaker™
  • Select the “Route Map” tab and click “Draw Route”
  • Below “Snap to roads” you’ll find “Import KML File: Choose File”
  • Select the KML file you wish to upload and it will import the route into the map.
