I’m not sure if other people have this problem but the timing requrements for max length of narration is way off in my case. Often, the audio finishes and there is still quite a bit of distance to the next location. I understand that it’s better be on the safe side, but if you are dealing with street crossings, sometimes the audio is done while you are still waiting to cross.
Here is what I propose (I think it’s not a big problem technically): if the audio is still playing and you are near the next destination (aka 20 sec), the app asks you to stop and listen to the end of the story before proceeding ahead.
Let me know what you think,

Hi @irengurarye, thanks for raising this. It’s a good question.
The maximum audio timing is based on people who walk quickly, so if you’re a leisurely stroller (or waiting at a street crossing), the audio will often finish well before you reach the next location. We don’t factor in crossings specifically because they’re so variable. Sometimes you sail straight across, and other times you’re stuck waiting for a while.
The other thing worth saying is that the goal isn’t wall-to-wall audio. A bit of silence between stops is actually a feature, not a bug. It gives people a moment to look around, take in where they are, and breathe before the next story starts.
That said, the timing limit is a guideline rather than a hard rule. If there’s something about a specific location your editor should know about, like a long crossing or a tricky stretch of road, that context can be taken into account and exceptions can be made.
Hope that helps clarify things!
