Upcoming Webinar: Indoor Tours

Hi everyone,

We’re hosting a 45-minute webinar on Wednesday, 23 April about an opportunity most publishers haven’t explored yet – indoor tours.

Only 2% of VoiceMap tours use our indoor interface, but it’s a simple, effective way to reach new audiences – especially at museums, galleries, and other attractions where GPS playback isn’t an option. We’ll walk you through how to create one using Mapmaker, and share tips for curating the content.

Why create an indoor tour?

  • Just 34 out of 1,648 VoiceMap tours use the indoor interface – so there’s plenty of room to grow
  • Indoor tours aren’t affected by weather, making them ideal for year-round visitors
  • They’re already working well at top attractions like the Apartheid Museum in Johannesburg, Rome’s Colosseum, and Lisbon’s Monastery of Jerónimos
  • They’re easier to produce – no need to sync audio with GPS or match your walk to the script
  • You can still create a rich, curated experience using photos, text prompts, and interactive features in Mapmaker

If you’ve been thinking about creating a tour for a museum, gallery, or similar space – or you’re looking for ideas for your next one – this is a great place to start.

Looking forward to seeing everyone at the webinar next week!

Make sure to RSVP here.

We’re hosting the webinar on Google Meet, so you’ll only be able to join once you’ve RSVP’d. We’ll then send you a meeting invite (make sure to respond “Yes” to add it to your calendar) with the Google Meet link.

A big thank you to everyone who joined our webinar yesterday, it was great to see so many familiar and new faces.

We’ll soon share the recording and insights from the session, and more information about the 100% royalties program for indoor tours, so please keep an eye out for that.

In the meantime, let us know if there’s a specific topic you’d like to hear about in our next webinar below.
