Several people reviewing my new Sayulita tour with vouchers find it confusing regarding where and how to see the “hands” for ratings. They go to the review page where it says “write a review,” but if they post their review before they find the “hands”, they cannot go back and correct this.
When they do, their original review is posted again, so it appears twice without a rating.
-
Can you put the rating “hands” next to the review form so they can do both at the same time?
-
How can the reviewer go back and add their rating without incurring a double review?
-
How can they or I delete duplicate posts from the same person?
Since the rating “hands” appear on each tour’s home page as an indication of value, it is important to make this an easy process. Many of my past reviews on my other tours have no rating, which is misleading. This may be because the process is confusing.
Hi @sun4sandra thanks for sharing your question here.
Do you know if they left the rating and review on the web or in the app? We recommend getting them to do this in the app, where the process happens seamlessly. And they can also give more granular feedback using the five feedback categories.
We sometimes see the disconnect happen on the web when someone rates a tour and only leaves a review later. If this process happens within five minutes, the rating and review gets merged automatically. But it sometimes happens, like in this case, where the time between rating and reviewing is a bit longer and they appear separately.
If you see any instances of this on your tours, please let us know, so we can merge them for you.
We do plan on eventually removing the ability to review a tour from the web, so that it only happens in the app. This means everyone will be encouraged to leave more detailed feedback and we’ll get more insights on just why users love your tours!
